COVID-19 Safety Procedures and Information

Hello, Beautiful Clients!

Good news! Liz, Tara, Crystal, and Latisha are accepting new clients! Feel free to book an appointment online, email, or call the salon. If you’d like to book with JoAnn, please call the salon and we can add you to her waitlist.

We feel so lucky to have jobs that allow us to spread joy and community. We appreciate your understanding and support through these stressful times. Please keep your eyes peeled through email, our website, and across all of our social media platforms for the most current information regarding COVID-19 safety protocol, as it is likely to change.

Sending health, well-being & positivity to all,

JoAnn, Liz, Tara, Crystal, Latisha and Meagan

*WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN ARRIVING TO THE SALON *

-Masking: Masking at Honeybee is at your discretion. We have backup masks on hand just in case someone needs one, or if we ask that you wear one for a particular reason. Please bring yours with you at your visits if you can to keep our costs down.

It is still expected that if you have been exposed to Covid, or are feeling ill that you let us know as soon as possible so your appointment can be rescheduled for when you’re feeling better. At the salon, we will be diligent about masking for seasonal illnesses like colds, and feel that it’s reasonable to expect that our clients will do the same in order to keep from spreading germs.

For clients who prefer to wear a mask, your stylist will also mask, no questions asked. It is truly important to us that our clients who are more comfortable masking and/or are immunocompromised continue to feel safe coming to Honeybee. If you’d feel more comfortable booking an appointment during a less busy time, or that you are booked when everyone is masked, please let us know and we can make arrangements. We appreciate our clients cooperating with us every step of the way and we truly couldn’t ask for a better community during this time.

-If you are masking, your mask will most likely get hair clippings or hair color on it, so you may not want to bring your favorite one and may want a backup mask if you have plans after your service.

-If you bring a personal beverage, for your own safety, it must have a cover.

-We know the risks of contracting the virus are higher in enclosed spaces with recirculated air. In order to mitigate this risk, we will limit unnecessary disruption of airflow. Throughout the salon, we are running three air purifiers with HEPA filters.

-We greatly appreciate our clients who refrain from wearing any strong perfumes or colognes.

*BOOKING*

-We recommend booking multiple appointments ahead of time so you can ensure that we get to see you when you'd like.

-Due to the demand for our time, and the limitations of our schedules, we will now be asking you to leave a credit card on file for all appointment bookings. If you do not have one on file already, you will be asked for one when you book your next appointment. Honeybee will only charge your card when you come in or if we need to charge for a cancellation/no-show fee.

-Out of respect for your stylist and other clients, and how our schedules operate, it is imperative that you do not miss or come late to your visit. Here is a reminder of our cancellation policy:

We require you give us at least 24-48 hours notice when rescheduling or cancelling appointments. Failure to do so will result in a charge of 50% of your expected service cost charged to the card on file, and will need to be paid before you book another service. We will attempt to contact you if at all possible before we charge you. This policy will not apply if it is due to an urgent/last minute health issue for you or an immediate family member.

OTHER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS/CHANGES

-We will all be washing our hands, disinfecting all surfaces and tools between appointments and as needed. Gloves will be used when appropriate.

-All products for your service will be dispensed with single-use spatulas or in a way that does not allow for cross-contamination.

-All client capes will be washed after each use.

-Every member of the staff has completed a sanitization, disinfection, and sterilization certification class.

-All front desk checkout/booking/purchasing will be as touch-free as possible.

-All non-motorized metal tools will be sanitized prior to use on every client. All other tools and surfaces will either be disposable in covered containers or sanitized using a germicidal, virucidal, and fungicidal disinfectant and stored in covered containers.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask. We’re here to help! As we work with these new procedures, we will likely need to make adaptations along the way to improve how the salon functions, which we will keep you informed on. In addition, we will be following evolving COVID-19 research and what we can do to maintain the health and safety of everyone at Honeybee Hair Parlor. Thank you so much for following all of our safety protocols, and for your support, patience, and understanding. We love you.
